Pokémon GO is the biggest phenomenon of 2016. No game has ever had as much hype or as big a following. According to Apple, Pokémon GO was downloaded more times in its first week of launching than any other app in history. Today, it's still ranked as one of the top free apps in the U.S. App Store and is constantly in the news as a buzz-worthy topic of conversation.
Pokémon GO encourages people from all walks of life to come
together to share in the thrill of the game’s virtual hunt. It creates a sense
of community and helps people shape up – catching Pokémon can be quite physical and motivates people to go outside and start walking/hunting.
When hunting for Pokémon the world is your playground, but it’s important to note that some places are home to more creatures than others.
Several of our Morguard communities are PokéStops, which means you’ll have the opportunity to catch a bunch of adorable little Pokémon while visiting our locations across the United States.
For example, our Briarhill community in Atlanta GA is located next to a church that has been a regular Pokémon “hot spot” for several weeks! It’s also located near several popular Poké Gyms (places where you can battle and train your Pokémon). In
addition, the fountain at our Estates at Lafayette Square community in Mobile AL is a breeding ground for “water-based” Pokémon, which appear every few days.
Our community Woodbine Apartment Homes in Riviera Beach, FL has even had three recent Pokémon sightings including a Pidgey found in the leasing office, an Eevee found at the
front door and a Venonat found by the pool. Apart from these Pokémon, Woodbine’s waterfall is now a poké rejuvenation spot. Last but not least, Alta at K Station in Chicago IL has been rumored to produce an actual Pikachu (one of the rarest, most popular breeds!).
As you can see, it’s no wonder that Pokémon GO has become such a success. It’s never too late to hop on the bandwagon. Visit our communities across the country to join the fun – "You gotta catch ‘em all!"
